Half of the bored piles were drilled and concreted on the left-bank part of the Darnitsky Bridge in the capital. They are necessary to create a road junction with two exits to the Dnieper embankment (towards Bazhana Avenue and towards the Paton Bridge) and an entrance to the bridge (from the side of Bazhana Avenue).

“The railway and automobile Darnytsky bridge has been in an unfinished state for more than ten years. The lack of road ramps on the left bank of the Dnieper has become the reason that transport cannot use the Darnytsky bridge crossing, as envisaged by the project,” the ministry says.
Thanks to the inclusion of the Darnitsky Bridge in the program of President Vladimir Zelensky “Big Construction” and the completion of the necessary junctions, the capacity of the bridge will increase to 35 thousand cars per day, and the neighboring South Bridge and Paton Bridge will become less loaded.
“The work continues 24/7. The plans are to complete the main work by the end of 2022. 110 specialists work at the facility, more than 50 units of specialized bridge-building equipment are involved. In particular, 2 powerful drilling rigs. In addition to drilling, the manufacture of metal structures continues. concrete and other works, “the ministry said.
The project cost is UAH 1.15 billion.
As stated in a recent handling to parliament, President Volodymyr Zelensky, 560 bridges and bridge crossings have been built and renovated in two years of implementation of the Big Construction program. In particular, work was resumed on the legendary unfinished – Zaporozhye bridges, which had been idle for 15 years.
