Spot gas prices in Europe in January fell from $ 2.1 thousand to $ 1.3 thousand per thousand cubic meters.
This is evidenced by the data on exchange ICE Futures.

The futures price for January on the Dutch TTF index fell to 106 euros per MWh (1.26 thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters). At the same time, during December 21-22, prices exceeded 2 thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters.
The decline in prices is associated with an increase in electricity generation by wind power plants in Europe due to strong winds.
Gas prices in Ukraine also reacted to European quotations with a corresponding decrease.
According to the Ukrainian Energy Exchange, the weighted average cost of gas at European hubs to the Ukrainian border as of December 24 dropped from UAH 74,000 to UAH 52,000 per 1,000 cubic meters in two days.
