Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is preparing several models of the new Find X5 series for the market. At least three devices are expected – Oppo Find X5, Oppo Find X5 Pro and Oppo Find X5 Lite, and leaked photos on the Internet reveal some oddities of the new smartphones.
The published images show the curved rear panel around the main rear camera, which is borrowed from the Oppo Find X3, but its shape is quite different and slightly strange in the new models.
The standard version of the Oppo Find X5 will receive the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, while the Oppo Find X5 Pro will rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, announced Prepp. Recently, at the presentation of its mobile platform Dimensity 9000 5G, Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek confirmed that the next generation of the Oppo Find X series of smartphones will use its SoC.
Both smartphones will have conventional telephoto lenses without the use of periscope modules. According to market observers, Oppo is also preparing a Find X5 Ultra, which will include a camera with a periscope.
The Find X5 is expected to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, at least two cameras with a resolution of 50 megapixels on the rear panel and a 5000 mAh battery with support for 80 or 125 W fast charging.
The photos of the new Find X5 smartphones have been published on the web by Steve Hemerstofer. Interestingly, he was the first to distribute high-quality renderings of the Huawei P50, Huawei P50 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra, which were later fully confirmed.
