The government approved decrees that make it possible to use electronic documents – an electronic driver’s license, a vehicle registration certificate (registration certificate) and a student card in the Diya application along with paper ones.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Digital Transformation on website Cabinet of Ministers.
“Driver’s license, registration certificate and student’s license in” Die “are now accepted on a par with paper ones. We took the first big step towards the introduction of electronic documents in Ukraine in August, when we launched digital passports. Now, thanks to the adopted law on paperless mode, the concept of electronic documents has appeared in Ukraine. And this allows us to digitize documents much faster. Gradually, all documents important for Ukrainians will be available in “Die”, – said Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.
He also noted that since 2019, these documents have been valid only in the framework of pilot projects that have successfully proven themselves. During this time, 751 thousand e-students were formed. As well as 4.4 million driving licenses and 4.2 million vehicle registration certificates.
The regulations come into force from the moment of publication.
