The robots will be developed individually to adapt to the characteristics of their owner, according to the head of Tesla Elon Musk. Next year, the company plans to introduce its first robot, called Tesla Bot.
After promising to create a humanoid robot, Elon Musk initially said that such “assistants” would be used to perform repetitive operations and that replacing humans with robots in some areas would even prevent the degeneration of civilization.
In a new interview, he says that Tesla Bot humanoid robots will be able to develop individually from a personal point of view. Each robot will adapt to its owner and will not have two identical satellites, he said Electrek.
Proponents of the hypothesis of the inevitability of the “machine uprising” would probably recall that earlier Musk promised to limit the characteristics of the Tesla Bot, so that one can either stop the rebellious machine, or escape from it.
During the interview, the Tesla manager confirmed that a working prototype of Bot will be presented before the end of next year, but did not specify when serial production of humanoid machines will begin at the plant in Texas.
