President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Alexei Sukhachev director of the State Bureau of Investigation.
The corresponding decree No. 691/2021 of December 31 was promulgated on website head of state.
“To appoint Alexei Alexandrovich Sukhachev director of the State Bureau of Investigation for a period of five years,” the decree says.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Sukhachev has been acting director of the RRT since September 2020.
Until now, deputy director Alexander Sokolov has been acting as director of the RRB.
Sukhachev was born in 1978 in Kharkov. In 2000 he graduated from the Yaroslav the Wise National Law Academy of Ukraine with a degree in Jurisprudence.

In 2000, he began military service in the state security bodies, rose from an investigator, operative to the deputy of the Main Directorate of the Central Directorate of the SBU.

Based on the results of an open competition in August 2020, he was appointed Deputy Director of the State Bureau of Investigation.
As UNIAN already reported, Zelensky appointed a new chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. Earlier, Oleg Sinegubov headed the Poltava Regional State Administration.
