Ukraine this year, in addition to the planned $ 300 million, will receive additional assistance from the United States of America.
Oksana Markarova, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, announced this in the Saturday Interview program on Radio Svoboda.
“There is direct direct assistance provided by the United States through its budget – this amount is already higher for 2022, that is, it has been increased to 300 million. And the component that can go to lethal defense has also been increased. for a year and according to which our defense departments cooperate with each other, determine what exactly will be included in this part. There is a second part of the assistance. And this is precisely this assistance, according to which we receive general trainings, weapons, “Javelins” … What- something that cannot be talked about. But we will try very hard to expand the list of protective weapons that we can get, “Markarova said.
According to her, another part of the interaction between the United States and Ukraine is the intensification in the field of military-technical cooperation.

There are two more ways how we cooperate with the United States. And it has already been used (during a visit last year it was shown how quickly it can be), when the US President, by his decree, allocates additional aid. This is in addition to the funds included in the budget, “Markarova noted.
At the end of last year, US President Joe Biden signed the US Defense Budget (NDAA) for fiscal 2022, which, among other things, provides for the allocation of $ 300 million for an initiative to promote Ukraine’s security to support the Armed Forces.
We will remind, on December 20, the Charge d’Affaires of the United States in Ukraine Christina Queen said that the United States would transfer more military equipment and weapons to Ukraine in the event of an increase in the aggression of the Russian Federation.
According to her, in 2021, the United States provided Ukraine with security assistance worth $ 450 million.
