In October 2021, the famous Microsoft company presented to the world a new version of its main product Windows 11.
The system has become more beautiful and more convenient, but some of the functions are still lacking, and those that are in place are often inconveniently implemented. For this, amateurs regularly develop additional programs and utilities that optimize the operation of the operating system. We will talk about them further.
EarTrumpet
EarTrumpet is a free program for Windows 10/11, available in the Microsoft store… Its main function is to provide the ability to control the sound of applications separately from the general volume level.
That is, the program adds separate volume indicators for each running application, which are also easy to adjust. To do this, you do not need to look for the desired settings in the “Options” menu every time.
Outwardly, the utility does not differ from the standard interface of the operating system, and therefore will harmoniously fit into the existing personalization.
ModernFlyouts
ModernFlyouts is a program for improving the display of some information in W11. It uses an unused window that appears when adjusting the volume and brightness of the screen and displays there information about the enabled Caps Lock or Insert.
In parallel, a slider of the track being played is displayed there, which can be rewound. The program is easily customizable and accepts the styles that the user likes best.

BatteryBar
So far BatteryBar available only for Windows 10, however, the developers will soon promise to adapt the utility for the “eleven”.
The program allows you to monitor the battery status of the device, its charge level, estimated battery life, wear level and other important indicators. The indicator is fixed in the taskbar and fits harmoniously into the design of the system.
Start11
On November 3, the world saw a new utility that allows you to optimize the “Start” menu of the new operating system. This utility allows you to restore the appearance of older versions, including Windows 10 and 7. In addition, there are many customization options, including the ability to change the position of the taskbar, workspace and main icons.

Old context menu
For those who do not particularly like changes, the developers have provided an opportunity to return the old context menu in the new operating system. To do this, the user needs to run Windows PowerShell or Windows Terminal as administrator. Then you should insert the command into the window:

After restarting the computer, the changes will take effect and the familiar context menu from Windows 10 will return.
