President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky initiated the creation of natural parks “Pushcha Radziwilla”, “Kuyalnitsky” and “Kholodny Yar”, as well as increasing the boundaries of a number of nature conservation objects.
On January 1-3, the President signed decrees that provide for the creation of national natural parks “Pushcha Radziwilla”, “Kuyalnitsky” and “Kholodny Yar”, as well as increasing the boundaries of the territory of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, the National Natural Park “Meotida”, the National Natural Park “Vizhnitsky” and a botanical reserve of national importance “Staromanzyrsky”, informs press service Office of the head of state.
Thus, decree No. 2/2022 provides for the creation of a national natural park “Kholodny Yar” (Cherkassk region) on the territory of the Cherkasy region, to which 6.8 thousand hectares of state-owned land are transferred for permanent use.
According to the decree №3 / 2022, on the territory of the Berezovsky and Odessa districts of the Odessa region, a national natural park “Kuyalnitsky” is being created. Its territory includes 10.8 thousand hectares of state and communal land.
Decree No. 4/2022 provides for the creation of a national natural park “Pushcha Radziwilla” on the territory of the Sarny district of the Rivne region, which includes 24 thousand hectares of state-owned land.
The parks will be under the control of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

In addition, by decree No. 5/2022, the boundaries of the territory of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve were changed, which will include 17.9 thousand hectares of land withdrawn from forestry.
According to decree No. 6/2022, it was agreed to include 131 hectares of state-owned land in the Chernivtsi region in the territory of the Vyzhnytsky national natural park, and 99 hectares of state-owned land in the Bolgradsky district of the Odessa region into the territory of the Staromanzyrsky botanical reserve of national importance.
Decree No. 7/2022 envisages the inclusion of 580.2 hectares of state-owned land outside the urban settlement into the territory of the Meotida National Natural Park. Yalta, Melekino villages, Urzuf of the Mangush settlement territorial community of the Mariupol district of the Donetsk region.
According to the documents, the Cabinet of Ministers must ensure the approval of the provisions on the created parks within six months and amend the provisions on the specified nature protection objects, the boundaries of which have been expanded.
The government must also resolve the issue of land provision by 2024
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers has increased the fines for illegal fishing by tens and even hundreds of times, depending on the type of fish.
