Garan explains that not everyone already supports the war in Ukraine.
A revolt is possible in the environment of the Russian dictator Putin, but there are other scenarios for its elimination.
This opinion was expressed on air 24 channels professor of political science at the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” Oleksiy Garan.
Garan suggests that there are “more thoughtful people” in the leadership of the Russian Federation who understand the need to end the war in Ukraine. First of all, we are talking about businessmen losing money. Nor does he rule out a rebellion within the Kremlin.
“There are ‘hawks’ around Putin, such as Patrushev,” he said.
According to Garan, it is likely that Putin has surrounded himself with guards, so “eliminating” him seems impossible. In this case, Ukraine will have to live next to a dictatorial regime for some time.
In the case of the removal of the dictator from power, different options are possible, the professor adds. One of them is the preservation of the “hawks” in power, representing the current regime. A more flexible scenario is also possible.
“We need to do our own thing. We cannot rely on Putin’s entourage and the intimidated Russian society,” he concluded.
Earlier, the media learned that the Russian authorities have an understanding or wish that in a fairly foreseeable future, Putin will not be the president of the Russian Federation. The authorities are increasingly discussing the topic of “the future after Putin,” Meduza reported, citing sources close to the government and the presidential administration. According to the interlocutors, the figures of successors to the head of state are even being discussed behind the scenes in the Kremlin.
