Former world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker shared his opinion about the upcoming rematch between WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO belt holder Alexander Usyk and former world champion Anthony Joshua.
The famous New Zealand boxer noted that he believes in Usyk’s victory in the second fight with Joshua.
“Who will win in a rematch between Usyk and Joshua? I will probably prefer Alexander as I’m not sure what Joshua’s plan is and what he will do with his new team“, – said Parker in an interview with the YouTube channel “iD Boxing“.
Joseph Parker also said he was ready to go out with the winner of the Usyk-Joshua showdown after he beats British heavyweight Joe Joyce.
“When I beat Joe Joyce, I have to have a rematch with him in December. I will defeat him again and be free“, Parker said.
Earlier UNIAN reported that undefeated British boxer Joe Joyce shared his opinion about the upcoming rematch between Usyk and Joshua.
Recall that the rematch between Alexander Usik and Anthony Joshua will take place in the city of Jeddah on August 20. At stake in this fight will be the WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO titles, which the Ukrainian took away from the Brit last year.
Last fall, the Ukrainian defeated Joshua by unanimous decision. This fight was named the main event of boxing in 2021 according to The Ring.
