When implementing the Initiative for the Safe Transportation of Grain and Foodstuffs, tomorrow, August 6, the first vessel is expected to arrive at the port of Chernomorsk for loading.
This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine with reference to the head of the department Oleksandr Kubrakov.
“The FULMAR S vessel is the first vessel since the full-scale invasion of Russia that enters our port for loading. The guarantors of the agreements – Turkey and the UN confirmed the possibility of the vessel entering the port of Chernomorsk. We plan to promptly load the vessel and send it to the port of destination,” he said. he.
According to the report, the final destination of the vessel after loading is the Iskenderun port in Turkey.
According to the minister, Ukraine is ready to ensure the ability of ports to “handle” at least 100 ships per month.
Kubrakov said that today 13 more ships are waiting to be sent from Ukrainian ports.
“We expect that with the help of the guarantors of the Initiative, in the near future we will be able to export three or more million tons of agricultural products from the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk, Yuzhny for a month,” the minister commented.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 22, an agreement was signed in Istanbul on the unblocking of the Ukrainian ports Odessa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny for the export of grain and other agricultural products. Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu signed separate identical agreements with the UN and Turkey.
As part of the implementation of agreements with a cargo of Ukrainian corn, 4 ships have already been sent – they carry more than 80 thousand tons of corn.
The arrival of the first RAZONI vessel at its final destination, the port of Tripoli in Lebanon, is expected on 7 August.
