The Norwegian authorities decided to send their instructors for basic soldier training of the Ukrainian military.
Norway will join the large-scale training program for Ukrainian military personnel in the UK.
This decision was announced by Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Aril Gram. NRK.
“Ukrainian forces are in dire need of further training and education. Norway is positive about the British initiative to train the Ukrainian military in the UK. We will send our instructors for basic soldier training, like some other countries,” Gram said.
Recall that the program for the training of the Ukrainian military in Britain was proposed to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson during his June visit to Kyiv. Johnson specified that the British military could train up to 10,000 Ukrainian troops every 120 days.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 6, the first rotation of the Ukrainian military arrived in the UK for exercises. After the start of the exercises, Johnson personally visited our fighters at the training ground, assessed some types of weapons and expressed confidence in the victory of Ukraine.
On August 8, it became known that Finland joined the training of the Ukrainian military in Britain. Before that, Sweden, Canada and the Netherlands expressed their desire to participate in the program.
