Russian aggression against Ukraine has created, among other things, food and energy crises that spread uncertainty and frustration with life around the world.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the international community should not forget that Russian aggression is the root cause of global crises.
As the head of state said in an evening address to Ukrainians, which was published on the social network Facebook, he met with the ambassadors of the Ukrainian state charity platform UNITED24 Andriy Shevchenko and actor Liev Schreiber.
“We discussed how we can maintain the maximum attention of the world to the needs of our defense. Every week this task is gaining more weight,” Zelensky said.
“Russia has created so many crises, including the cost of living crisis in many countries, as well as the food and energy crises, which are spreading uncertainty and frustration with life around the world. We must keep the root cause of these crises, namely Russian aggression, in the focus of global attention. And we must remind you that it was Ukraine that suffered the most from Russian terror,” the president added.
“I am grateful to everyone who performs this important function, in particular to UNITED24 ambassadors. Their activity means billions of hryvnias for Ukraine and a constant increase in attention to the needs of our state and people,” the head of state said.
As UNIAN reported, people from 110 countries of the world have joined the fundraising platform UNITED24, initiated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in three months of operation, and the total amount of charitable contributions amounted to more than UAH 6 billion.
