With the receipt of complexes, the issue of protecting such cities will be partially resolved, the expert noted.
Military expert Oleg Zhdanov responded that he would help protect front-line cities such as Nikolaev and Kharkov from daily Russian missile attacks.
He expressed his opinion on the matter in YouTubeanswering the corresponding question.
“The missiles of the S-300 complex, which have been converted into the ground-to-ground class, reach up to 200 kilometers in range. And if we take the Iskander, then Russian troops need to be moved away from Nikolaev by 500 kilometers,” Zhdanov noted.
“Now there is a mess with the provision of anti-missile weapons to us, but I really hope that with their provision the issue of protecting cities such as Nikolaev, Kharkov, Kramatorsk, Chuguev and other front-line cities will be partially resolved. If they give air defense systems (such as NASAMS and IRIS-T ), then it will be possible to partially protect Nikolaev, and the number of missile strikes should be sharply reduced,” the expert added.
Recall, the Pentagon recently announced that the first two batteries of NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems to strengthen the air defense system will be delivered to Ukraine within two months.
Prior to this, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is discussing with 5 countries the provision of air defense systems to our state.
