The wife of the deceased soldier said that he served in the 93rd separate mechanized brigade “Cold Yar”.
Mass graves were discovered in Izyum after the city was liberated from Russian invaders. A photograph of a hand with blue and yellow bracelets went around the world. It turned out that it belongs to a soldier of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade “Cold Yar”.
This was told by the wife of the deceased soldier Oksana Sova in an interview with Facts.
According to the heartbroken woman, Sergei Sova from Nikopol was fond of cynology. In 2014, he was mobilized in the first wave. He courageously defended Sands, delivered ammunition to the Donetsk airport. A year later he was demobilized. Soon Sergei signed a contract with the 93rd brigade and continued to serve as a senior gunner. He has received numerous awards for his exemplary service.
“On the eve of the full-scale invasion, Sergei was sent to Desna for training, he must qualify as a combat medic. However, February 24 came and he and his brothers were sent to defend the borders of the Kharkov region. In April, he was in the Izyum direction. We always kept in touch, and my husband was with me frankly, shared everything he had experienced. Sergey explained that he had to fight and could not leave his brothers, “recalls the widow.
The last time the fighter spoke with his wife was on April 19 in the morning. Then he said that in 3-4 days they would be covered by aircraft, and before that they were hit by artillery and tanks were moving. In their company at the time of the last conversation there were already six “two hundredths”.
Oksana spent five months looking for her husband, looking through photos from the morgues and even handed over a sample of his DNA for analysis. She hoped to the last that he was a prisoner.
The woman recognized the tattoos on her husband’s body. Thus, it turned out that the hand with blue and yellow bracelets belongs to her 36-year-old husband Sergei. The Hero is survived by two children.
The eldest 14-year-old son left a letter on the website of the Office of the President, in which he asked for help to return his father home for a decent funeral as soon as possible.
