Ukraine does not stop working to organize a new exchange of prisoners with Russia.
Negotiations are ongoing with the Russian Federation on the exchange “all for all”, said the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov during a meeting with representatives of relatives and friends of Ukrainian prisoners of war, reports the Coordinating Headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war.
According to him, work is also underway to organize individual exchanges, and “this is a long and exhausting process.”
“Kyryl Budanov stressed that Ukraine continues to work on the exchange of prisoners, this work never stops. In particular, negotiations on the exchange of “all for all” continue,” the headquarters noted.

On September 21, 215 Ukrainian soldiers were released from Russian captivity. 200 fighters were exchanged for Viktor Medvedchuk, a pro-Russian MP and godfather of Russian President Vladimir Putin accused of treason. Ukraine also exchanged another 55 Russian prisoners.
The exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia took place in four states at once.
In particular, five commanders were released from Russian captivity: deputy commander of Azov Svyatoslav Ponomar (Kalina), commander of the 12th brigade of the National Guard Denis Shlega, commander of Azov Denis Prokopenko (Redis), senior officer of Azov “Oleg Khomenko and the commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade Sergei “Volyn” Volynsky.
Later, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said that only 2,500 Ukrainians were in captivity of the enemy.
According to the Russian side, there are more captured Ukrainians – over 6 thousand people.
