Representatives of the pro-Russian Shor party on Wednesday, March 15, blocked local and regional roads in Moldova. They shouted slogans against the current president, Maia Sandu.

In the Telegram channels of the movement “Movement for the people” and the party “Shor” appeared videos from the actions. Protesters blocked roads and demanded that Moldovan President Maia Sandu and her PAS party pay utility bills.

It is noted that protests were held in Glodeni, Briceni, Cimislia, Floresti, Soldanesti, Calarasi, Balti and a number of other settlements.

“Due to the unworthy attitude of the head of the cabinet of ministers, the action of blocking roads continues today. And tomorrow, March 16, we will gather in parliament at 11:00 to demand the approval of legislative initiatives that will make it possible to realize the expectations of more than 713,000 citizens who signed the Rukh initiative for the people” on the full payment of bills,” the Shor party said in a statement.

Protests in Moldova – what is known

On March 12, the Shor party held a rally in Chisinau. The protesters demanded that PAS and Sandu pay their utility bills for the winter in full.

According to law enforcement officers, 54 people were detained in Chisinau, including 12 minors.
