The enemy continues to unsuccessfully try to surround Bakhmut and move forward, but the Ukrainian troops are holding back the enemy’s furious pressure.
This was announced by the commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky regarding the situation on the Eastern Front, informs the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In particular, the general recalled that today a soldier of the 93rd Motorized Brigade “Cold Yar” with the call sign “Alan” destroyed an enemy Su-25 aircraft over Bakhmut.
“The enemy continues to unsuccessfully try to encircle the city and move forward. There, the soldiers of the 93rd brigade, together with other defenders, are holding back the enemy’s frantic pressure. Thanks to their work, enemy tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, MLRS and ammunition depots take off into the air,” Syrsky emphasized.
According to the commander, the occupiers are putting pressure on the Kupyansky and Limansky directions.
“Warriors of the 92nd Ivan Sirko Motorized Brigade gave the enemy a worthy punch by destroying the radar, MLRS and control points of the aggressor,” he added.
Syrsky emphasized that such resolute actions of the Ukrainian army significantly exhaust and demoralize the enemy and accelerate the victory of Ukraine.
The situation near Bakhmut
The other day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the defense of Bakhmut, emphasizing that there is a clear common position of the military command regarding this direction: to strengthen this direction, to destroy the occupier as much as possible.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny emphasized that the defense of Bakhmut is the key to the stability of the entire front.
Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled over 90 attacks of Russian invaders, the enemy does not leave attempts to capture the city of Bakhmut, where positional battles are constantly ongoing.
