Germany has handed over a new military aid package to Ukraine, which includes MARS II multiple launch rocket systems and 155mm ammunition.

As reported on the website of the German Federal Government, the Ukrainian army received 5,000 155 mm artillery shells, as well as 155 mm precision-guided munitions, the number of which is not specified.

In addition, the new aid package includes 500 SFP9 pistols; two forklifts; ammunition for MARS II (quantity not specified); four mobile antenna mast systems; two hangar tents; 25 generators.

As UNIAN reported earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed the continued support of Ukraine with arms supplies. During a speech in the Bundestag in early March, he said that in the coming weeks Ukraine would receive Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and the IRIS-T air defense system.

Recall that in November 2022, it was reported that Germany supplied Ukraine with 30 Gepard anti-aircraft guns. And in February of this year, it became known that Germany was transferring two more Gepard anti-aircraft guns and 6,000 anti-aircraft ammunition to these guns to Ukraine.
