Russian tanks T-90 “Breakthrough”: new data on Russian losses revealed

The so-called invincibility and perfection of these tanks turned out to be nothing more than a myth.

Armed Forces destroyed another Russian tank T-90M

The Russian army has lost at least 15 T-90M Proryv tanks in Ukraine, Andrei Rudik, a representative of the Center for Research on Captured Weapons and Military Equipment of the General Staff, said at a briefing on March 16.

According to him, the so-called invincibility and perfection of these tanks turned out to be nothing more than a myth.

He added that when talking about the 15 tanks lost by Russia, we are talking about cases confirmed by evidence of their destruction – photo or video:

“It is likely that the occupiers have lost significantly more T-90M units. Now the enemy practically does not use them during the conduct of hostilities.”

Rudik said that the first “breakthrough” of the T-90M tank was arranged by an employee of the territorial defense of the Kharkiv region – on May 4, 2022, the military destroyed the tank from a Carl Gustav hand gun.

According to military-political observer Alexander Kovalenko, as of today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed, damaged or captured 55 T-90A/S/M “Breakthrough” tanks. And these are only documented cases, undocumented – more than 85.
