VAKS chose a measure of restraint for ex-Minister of Infrastructure Pivovarsky
On February 22, ex-Infrastructure Minister Andrei Pivovarsky and his deputy were informed of suspicions of abuse that caused more than $30 million in losses.

Today, the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court applied a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 9 million 997 thousand 900 to the former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. Earlier, the court also confiscated shares of a Ukrainian bank from one of the Russian businessmen.
This was reported by the press service of the VAKS. It is noted that the period of validity of duties is until May 16, 2023 inclusive, according to the website of the department.
“The suspect has procedural obligations: to arrive at the first request to the investigator, prosecutor, detective and court; notify the investigator, detective, prosecutor, court of a change in place of residence and place of work, travel outside Kiev and the Kiev region; refrain from communicating with persons specified in the court order,” the statement said.
The VAKS also noted that the suspect is obliged, no later than five days from the date of choosing a measure of restraint in the form of bail, to deposit funds to the appropriate account or ensure their payment by the pledgor.
Suspicion to Pivovarsky – what is known
On February 22, ex-Infrastructure Minister Andrei Pivovarsky and his deputy were informed of suspicions of abuse that caused more than $30 million in losses.
According to the investigation, in July 2015, the then minister, together with his deputy (at that time also the chairman of the Tariff Council of the Ministry of Infrastructure) ensured the adoption of an order according to which private companies (50:50 ratio).
Recall that in 2016, Pivovarsky declared more than half a million hryvnias of income – about 572.65 thousand hryvnias per year.
