Since 2017, Apple has kept the “standard” price of Pro versions of the iPhone at $999 and has not increased the price of its smartphones in the US for several years. However, this year the situation will change.

According to GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will be the brand’s most expensive flagships. All due to the fact that the company will have to shift the cost of upgrading to consumers.

In particular, the Pro versions of the iPhone will replace the steel frame with a titanium one, and will also receive a powerful A17 chip, a periscope camera lens, more RAM and solid-state sound buttons.

Wccftech journalists confirm that future flagships will rise in price, and list the same reasons. Plus, in addition to the updated filling, this may also be due to high inflation in many countries of the world. According to the authors, the starting model of the iPhone 15 Pro will cost customers $1,049 instead of the usual $999.

At the same time, it is not yet clear whether the base models – iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus – will be more expensive compared to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. It is already known that they will receive a newfangled Dynamic Island interactive cutout and a new 48-megapixel camera.

The publication recalls that Apple has kept the price tags for a premium iPhone at $ 999 since 2017, when it introduced the iPhone X. $ 1,099 used to pay for the Pro Max version – this became the norm when the Cupertinos released the iPhone XS Max.

We are probably waiting for the most expensive generation of iPhones in the history of the brand. If Apple confirms these prices for iPhone 15 smartphones at the autumn presentation, then the most advanced iPhone 15 Pro Max with 1 TB of memory can be valued at $ 1649 or $ 1700.

All iPhone 15s will get USB-C, titanium iPhone will be delayed

The presentation of the iPhone 15 line will traditionally take place in September. Apple has already officially confirmed that all future iPhones, starting with the iPhone 15, will switch from Lightning to USB-C. This is required by the EU law on the unification of charging ports.

Earlier, several sources said that in 2023, Apple is preparing to release a flagship iPhone under a new name and with unique features. It will replace the top-end iPhone Pro Max and will be called the iPhone 15 Ultra. Later it was reported that this model will appear only as part of the iPhone 16 line or later.
