Canadian “special tanks” Bergepanzer 3 are already on their way to Ukraine (video)

On Saturday, March 18, it became known that the Canadian armored recovery vehicles (BREM) Bergepanzer 3 are heading to Ukraine. Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also received the first AMX-10RC tanks from France.

News about the armament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was announced by the head of the Ministry of National Defense of Canada, Anita Anand, in her Twitter. She published the corresponding video and expressed her words of support for Ukraine.

“Canadian military aid en route to Ukraine,” she wrote.

BREM Bergepanzer 3 is a “special tank” of German-Dutch production, designed on the basis of the Leopard 2 tank model. At the moment, more than 10 countries of the world, including Ukraine, have such combat vehicles in service.

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, as of March 15, the Canadian government has allocated more than 1 billion Canadian dollars as part of military assistance to Kyiv.

Recently it became known that in the coming weeks, Ukraine may also receive 8 more German-made Leopard 2 tanks from Canada. The government also promised to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with more than 1.8 thousand training shells with a caliber of 105 mm for Leopard 1 tanks.

Now the governments of the countries are negotiating the transfer of high-tech UAVs Teledyne Flir R70 Skyranger.
