What Orthodox holidays will we celebrate in April and when.

There will be many Orthodox holidays in the second month of spring. Among the most important are the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Bright Resurrection of Christ, Easter. What other church holidays will be in April – read in the UNIAN material.

There are several big holidays in the church calendar for April 2023. April 7 Orthodox believers celebrate the Great Holiday – Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, April 9 – Palm Sunday. Also, Great Lent continues until April 16, the last week before Easter is called Holy Week. April 16 one of the main Christian holidays is celebrated – Bright Resurrection of Christ, or Easter of the Lord. From April 17 to April 22 – Bright Easter week. 25th of April for the Orthodox – a day of special remembrance, Workshop.
