Road workers restore road repairs near the border with Poland

Road workers are restoring the repair of the T-14-04 Chervonograd-Rava-Russkaya highway near the border with Poland as part of the international project “Development of border road infrastructure at the approaches to checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border.”

According to the press service of the State Agency for the Rehabilitation and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the first few months of the war, the project was on pause due to security risks.

It is noted that the brigades have already begun repairing five artificial structures on the Belz-Rava-Russkaya section and have equipped temporary bypass roads near the crossings.

Also in the direction of Rava-Russkaya, the road builders are cutting off the old worn-out coating and finishing the construction of the base of the road pavement.

“After negotiations with the Polish side, the Agency resumed the repair of border roads in the Lviv region as an important component of logistics to the neighboring state. in Rava-Ruska,” Mustafa Nayem, head of the Restoration Agency, said.

According to him, after the repair, the road will become a convenient alternative to the overloaded highway M-09 Ternopil – Lviv – Rava-Russkaya, along which all transport is currently moving to the checkpoint.

The press service also noted that the T-14-04 road is one of four that are being repaired as part of the international project “Development of border road infrastructure at the approaches to checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border”: T-14-04 Chervonograd – Rava -Russian; T-14-01 Checkpoint “Smilnitsa” – Old Sambir; T-14-20 Yavorov – Grushev (repaired); T-14-18 Nizhankovichi – Sambir – Drohobych – Stryi (here the main work was completed last year).

At the international automobile checkpoint Yagodin-Dorohusk on the border with Poland, an electronic border crossing queue for trucks was launched.
