Putin or a double came to Mariupol: intelligence points to important facts
The Ukrainian side was not provided with any evidence that it was the President of the Russian Federation who was in the occupied city, the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate noted.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine does not rule out that a double of Russian President Vladimir Putin came to Mariupol.
Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, said this on the air of an information telethon. “We have no evidence that this man who came to Mariupol was Putin. A man who looks like Vladimir Putin is indeed captured in these frames. Now there are discussions whether Putin himself is really alive. If he is alive, we see him meeting at a long table, one hand trembles,” he said.
According to Yusov, in the video, a person who walks around Mariupol in the evening, communicates with residents in the yards, does not have such a sign.
“It is clear that Russian propaganda knows how to stage various staging sessions. But we have not been provided with any evidence that it was Vladimir Putin who was in Mariupol,” Yusov added.
According to him, Russia should imitate such “hyperactivity” of the President of the Russian Federation against the background of deepening his isolation and delegitimization.
What is known about Putin’s alleged visit to Mariupol
As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 19, the Kremlin announced that Vladimir Putin had arrived in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, which the Russian invaders had almost destroyed.
Russian propagandists showed a video in which the dictator allegedly visits one of the residential complexes, talks with the residents of the city and “goes to visit” one of the families.
