The ex-commander of the Azov regiment told what is happening in Bakhmut

Bakhmut today is the “hottest point” of the war. For eight months in a row, Russian invaders have been storming this settlement, but in vain. Enemy losses, according to various estimates, already amount to about 30 thousand liquidated.

What is happening there today, the former commander of the Azov regiment, Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maxim Zhorin told Snidanka z 1 + 1 on the 1 + 1 Ukraine channel.

“Fighting is taking place in absolutely all directions – this applies to both the surroundings and the city itself. The priority task for the Ukrainian army remains to hold the communication corridor, thanks to which it is possible to provide our troops and evacuate the wounded,” he said.

According to Zhorin, this task is now being carried out, but the heaviest fighting is certainly around this corridor. This is near the settlements of Ivanovskoye and Bogdanovka.

The former commander of “Azov” says that the enemy in this direction has lost some offensive potential. The invaders cannot succeed in Bakhmut.

As the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported, the defense forces repel enemy attacks in the Bakhmut direction in the area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe settlements of Bogdanovka and Ivanovskoye, constant positional battles continue in Bakhmut.

On March 20, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, there was a certain advance of the Russian invaders, but Ukrainian soldiers were also making progress in certain areas.
