Another 20 State Duma deputies sentenced to 15 years in Ukraine
Since the convicts are now on the territory of the Russian Federation, the beginning of the term of serving the sentence is determined from the day of their actual detention.

The security service has collected irrefutable evidence of the guilt of another 20 deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who contributed to the seizure of part of the eastern regions of Ukraine, the press center of the SBU reported.
“On February 15 last year, officials supported the decision to appeal to the President of the Russian Federation with a request to recognize the “independence” of the temporarily occupied regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. And on February 22, they voted for the ratification of the so-called “treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance” between the Russian Federation and “L/DPR” terrorist organizations. Subsequently, the Kremlin used these decisions as a formal pretext for launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and justifying armed aggression,” the report says.
Based on the collected evidence, the court found the Russian deputies guilty under Part 3 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and appointed them 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The convicts are: Altukhov Sergey, Alshevsky Andrey, Amelchenkova Olga, Anikeev Andrey, Anikeev Grigory, Artamonova Valentina, Arshba Otari, Arshinova Alena, Bazhenov Timofey, Bayguskarov Zarif, Bortsov Nikolay, Bulavinov Vadim, Islamov Dmitry, Kuzmin Mikhail, Maydanov Denis, Pankov Nikolay , Petrov Yuri, Pilipenko Olga, Pivnenko Valentina, Pogorely Dmitry.
The SBU stressed that since the convicts are now on the territory of the Russian Federation, the beginning of the term of serving the sentence is determined from the day of their actual detention.
Russia recognized the “LDNR” terrorists as separate “republics” – what is known
On the eve of the invasion of Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree legitimizing the pseudo-republics.
Ukraine and all the leading Western states protested against this decision, even the satellite countries of the Russian Federation then abstained from supporting Putin.
Already during a full-scale war, Putin ordered the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to be “annexed” to Russian territory. However, this decree did not change anything – Ukraine soon liberated part of the Kherson region from the invaders.
