The same design with transparent details, but with new functionality.
Nothing has updated its main hit with the introduction of the second generation of “transparent” Ear (2) headphones. There are very few visual differences from the original – the key changes are concentrated on the functionality of the device.
So, the novelty received adaptive noise reduction, simultaneous connection with two devices, improved autonomy, as well as support for Hi-Res Audio.
Autonomy, by the way, has grown to 36 hours (together with the case), and fast charging has become even faster (8 hours of work in 10 minutes of “recharge”). There is also wireless charging according to the Qi standard (up to 2.5 W).
Other highlights include a low latency mode, a more durable charging case, and customizable EQ and gestures through the dedicated Nothing X app.
Despite all the improvements, the cost of Nothing Ear (2) is $149 (~5400 UAH), just like the first generation. The color is only white. Sales will start on March 28, but in some physical stores – tomorrow.
Nothing Phone (2) will have to wait
Initially it was assumed that the second generation of Nothing Phone 2 smartphones would be released simultaneously with the headphones, but now their presentation is expected in the second half of 2023.
According to the manufacturer, Phone (2) “will be a more premium” product than the first generation. According to rumors, it will receive a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 processor and an increased 5000 mAh battery.
Recall that the original Nothing Phone (1) appeared on the world sale last summer. Thanks to its unusual design and affordable price, the device received the status of “iPhone killer”, and Time magazine even called it the “most innovative smartphone” of the year.
