Russian strike on high-rise buildings in Zaporozhye: more than 300 apartments damaged
More than 300 apartments in 14 houses were damaged by the impact and the blast wave as a whole.
Three victims of a Russian missile attack on a residential area in Zaporozhye are in serious condition. This was announced by the secretary of the Zaporozhye City Council Anatoly Kurtev.
Search and rescue operations and investigative operations near the affected houses have been completed. “Three of the victims are in serious condition, 19 people are in a state of moderate severity,” he wrote on Telegram.
It is currently known that in addition to two high-rise buildings, which received significant damage and in which 34 apartments were damaged, windows and balconies of 12 nearby houses were also damaged by the blast wave. In general, more than three hundred apartments were damaged to varying degrees.
“We provided five people who applied for help with resettlement with places in a modular city and in one of the shelters,” he said.
The secretary of the city council added that city services today dismantled the remains of damaged windows and covered them with OSB boards and film. Work will continue tomorrow.
Attack on Zaporozhye on March 22 – what is known
Today, March 22, Russian terrorists once again launched a missile attack on Zaporozhye. In total, they fired six missiles, one of which hit between two residential buildings.
The speaker of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, suggested that the strikes on Zaporozhye were carried out from multiple launch rocket systems, possibly Tornado-S.
In the evening, Interior Minister Igor Klymenko announced the completion of the rescue operation at the site of a Russian missile hit in a residential area of Zaporozhye. According to him, rescuers pulled six people out of the rubble and put out the fire in two high-rise buildings. 34 people were injured. 29 were hospitalized, including three children. One person died in the hospital.
