Kadyrova awarded himself the medal of “Honored Human Rights Defender” of Chechnya
Earlier, Ramzan Kadyrov’s father, Akhmat Kadyrov, received a similar award posthumously.

Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov was awarded the medal “Honored Human Rights Activist of the Chechen Republic”.
According to the propaganda resource TASS, the award was presented “for outstanding services in protecting the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, courage and adherence to principles in ensuring the national interests of the Chechen people, devotion to traditional values and fidelity to duty.”
Earlier, Ramzan Kadyrov’s father, Akhmat Kadyrov, received a similar award posthumously.
In February, Kadyrov issued himself a medal of “Hero of Chechnya”. Putin’s henchman established the corresponding award with his own hand and, by “coincidence,” became the first person to receive this title.
Kadyrov appoints relatives to senior positions in Chechnya – what is known
Kadyrov’s relatives hold various positions in the republic. So, Kadyrov’s nephew heads his administration, and his cousin is the government of Chechnya, the sisters of the head of the republic, husbands and children are also involved in governing the republic, human rights activists wrote back in 2016.
Recently, Kadyrov removed his aunt Khozha-Baudi Daaev from his post as deputy chairman of the government of the Chechen Republic and made him minister of education. Also, Kadyrov gave good places in the government to his older sisters – Zulai and Zargan.
In total, journalists counted 47 close and distant relatives of Ramzan Kadyrov in the Chechen government.
However, Kadyrov himself openly ridiculed this opinion and stated that he appoints those whom he trusts: “Don’t make me laugh. From my relatives in any institution and in any position, the demand is ten times greater, because they need to prove that they do not work thanks to me. but contrary. Whom I trust, that I appoint.”
