Famous actor and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Orlando Bloom arrived in Ukraine. The star of “Lord of the Rings” met with the children. The actor shared his impressions of our country and touched his thoughts about the childhood of Ukrainians.
Bloom said that he arrived in Ukraine for the first time since the last trip, which took place back in 2016. The actor could not imagine that the war would spread throughout the country. However, he was lucky to hear children’s laughter. The actor visited the children’s point “Spilno”, where kids can get psychological support, play and learn something new.
“The word “Spilno” in Ukrainian means “at once”, and there are more than 180 such centers. The one I visited today is open underground at the metro station, for the safety of children. For several hours every day, parents can leave their small children here and give them a sense of normality, the opportunity to play games and just be kids. There are also plenty of art and craft supplies for kids to express themselves creatively, away from the pressures that build up in the war zone. Children in Ukraine need to get their childhood back.” Bloom emphasized.
Ukrainians thanked the star of “Lord of the Rings” for his support. The actor draws attention to the war in our country and helps children in need of care.
