The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported good news from the Nikolaev region about mine clearance
Hundreds of thousands of hectares of land are still mined in the region, noted in OK “South”.
In the Nikolaev region began priority demining of agricultural land.
This was reported by the speaker of the operational command “South” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Nazarov. “In the Nikolaev region, priority demining of agricultural land has begun. An increase in the forces and means of detecting and neutralizing dangerous objects has been observed in the region,” the speaker said.
As of today, March 26, another 280 thousand hectares of land remain mined.

At the end of 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that in Ukraine “mine pollution” covered an area of approximately 170,000 square kilometers, which is more than a quarter of the Ukrainian state.
Ukraine has become one of the most contaminated by mines and shells in the world. Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that a center for humanitarian demining would be created in our country.
