Today, March 29, the state budget of Ukraine received grant funds in the amount of $1 billion 253 million.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the funds were provided by the United States of America through the World Bank trust fund as part of the fourth additional financing for the Public Expenditure Support for Sustainable Governance in Ukraine (PEACE) project.
“Grant funding will be used to ensure partial reimbursement of state budget expenses, in particular for pension payments, support for certain programs of state social assistance (assistance for IDPs), ensuring remuneration of employees of state bodies, employees of the State Emergency Service and employees of higher educational institutions,” the report says. .

Grant assistance for Ukraine
As UNIAN reported, yesterday, March 28, the Ukrainian government issued an order to receive a second grant from the United States this year in the amount of $2.5 billion, which will come through the project of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as the International Development Association.
On February 24, the World Bank Group announced an additional $2.5 billion in grant funding for Ukraine. The funds are provided by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and provide direct budgetary support to Ukraine to ensure the continuity of essential services and essential government functions amid the ongoing war.
Since the war began, the World Bank has mobilized a total of $20.6 billion to support Ukraine. Of this amount, $18.5 billion has already been paid, which was assistance for more than 12 million Ukrainians.
