Flood consequences in Ukraine: tens of thousands of hectares of agricultural land flooded
Due to the flood, transport links with 30 settlements were disrupted, the State Emergency Service noted.

In five regions of Ukraine, more than 21,000 hectares of agricultural land were flooded due to the flood.
This is stated in a message on the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. “In the Dnepropetrovsk, Volyn, Rivne, Cherkasy and Poltava regions, 21 thousand 108 hectares of agricultural land were flooded. Transport links with 30 settlements were disrupted: Chernihiv – 29 and Kiev – 1,” the State Emergency Service noted.
330 houses remain flooded in five regions: Dnepropetrovsk – 170, Kirovohrad – 87, Cherkasy – 42, Chernihiv – 29 and Poltava – 2.
Also, 1,642 households were flooded in six regions: Chernihiv – 488, Dnepropetrovsk – 333, Kirovohrad – 323, Kiev – 210, Cherkasy – 181 and Poltava – 107.
“In total, the units of the State Emergency Service delivered 653 kg of food, transported 1,985 people and pumped out about 15,184 cubic meters of water. The hydrological situation is under increased control of the State Emergency Service,” the report says.
Flooding in Ukraine – today it is worth knowing
As UNIAN reported earlier, flooding began in Ukraine in early April due to intense precipitation and rising water levels in rivers.
On the morning of April 18, the State Emergency Service reported that in the north of Ukraine there is a downward trend in the rate of rising water levels in rivers. More than 1.6 thousand households in six regions and 330 houses in five regions remain flooded.
