The exchange rate of the dlar has changed in exchangers: how much does the currency cost now

The cash exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar in the bank exchange offices in Kyiv today, May 19, has strengthened by 5 kopecks – up to UAH 37.60 / USD.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the hryvnia exchange rate for the euro has strengthened by 30 kopecks and amounts to 40.90 hryvnia/euro. You can sell American currency on average at the rate of UAH 37.15 per dollar, euro – UAH 40.23 per euro.
What will happen to the course in the near future:
According to economist Oleg Hetman’s forecast, the cash exchange rate of the dollar in Ukraine is unlikely to change dramatically in the near future. The value of the currency will gradually move towards the official rate. The expert believes that the dollar will be stable and does not see the prerequisites for a wild jump now – there are no factors that would provoke this yet.
Anna Zolotko, Director of the Department of Treasury Operations at Unex Bank, predicts that the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine will fluctuate between UAH 37.4-37.9 until May 21. According to her, the cash rate in the coming days will slowly move towards the official one, but the Ukrainians will not feel the changes.
“This course of events indicates a high degree of market balance. And a strong stabilizing factor in the market remains the extended limit on the sale of cash to the population, which the NBU introduced in mid-April,” the expert explained.
