The cash exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar in the bank exchange offices in Kyiv today, May 23, has strengthened by 5 kopecks – up to UAH 37.55 / USD.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the hryvnia exchange rate in euro has strengthened by 3 kopecks and amounts to 40.90 hryvnia/euro. You can sell American currency on average at the rate of UAH 37.15 per dollar, euro – UAH 40.20 per euro.
What happens to the course
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the forecast of Anna Zolotko, director of the department of treasury operations at Unex Bank, the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine will most likely fluctuate within the corridor from UAH 37.2 to 37.6 by the end of this week. In her opinion, this week the rate of strengthening of the hryvnia will become slower due to the fact that the rate has approached the extreme limit.
ICU analysts say that over the past week the situation on the foreign exchange market has improved, and the cash hryvnia has increased to a maximum since the beginning of the year. Over the past week, the exchange rate of the hryvnia in cash has increased by about 0.5%, or 20 kopecks, to UAH 37.1-37.7, which is the maximum since the beginning of the year. In total, since the beginning of the year, the strengthening has been more than 7%, or approximately 3 UAH. the difference between the cash rate and the rate that a significant part of banks use for card payments and for the purchase of foreign currency with placement on deposits has narrowed to about 30 kopecks.
