Ukrainian and world diplomats arrived on a working visit to the Belgian capital to discuss the threat to international security due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, as well as a potential picture of the future for Western countries.
The main speakers at the event were: NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas, US Ambassador to the European Union Mark Gitenstein, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov, NABU Director Semyon Krivonos.
According to Panteleimon Boumbouras, this year a separate discussion panel The Odesa debate 2023 was also organized at the Brussels Forum 2023, which was held on May 24 in a wide format with the participation of high-ranking officials, politicians and diplomats from around the world, including the United States. The discussion panel was devoted to the issues of restoring the infrastructure and economy of Ukraine, the long-term economic development of the country in the Euro-Atlantic environment, factors for overcoming the economic crisis and stimulating investment attractiveness.
“We all went through a very difficult year of the war. Business worked at full strength to support our army and help lead it to our common victory. We must understand that Ukrainian business also needs support. Today, discussions are underway at all levels regarding the prerequisites that should be create in order to encourage investors to invest in Ukraine. And we have certain views and developments. As European Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas rightly said in his speech, transatlantic relations are above all, it is a union of values. I have no doubt that Ukraine has all chances for intensive post-war development together with world partners. Investments and patience will give an unconditional result in the restoration of Ukraine. This will be the great construction of the century,” said Panteleimon Boumbouras.
Recall that the Boumbouras Foundation and the construction company “Gefest” for several years in a row were the organizers of the International Forum The Odesa Debate in Ukraine, the theme of which was the unification of Ukraine, the Black Sea region and transatlantic partners. The event was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the German Marshall Fund.
