From June 1, we will pay almost twice as much for electricity: the Cabinet of Ministers raised the tariff for the population

The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting almost doubled the tariff for electricity for the population from June 1, to the level of UAH 2.64 per kWh.

This was reported to UNIAN by a source in the government, noting that now for individual household consumers the tariff is 1.44 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour with consumption up to 250 kilowatts and 1.68 hryvnias – if more than 250 kilowatt-hours per month.

However, at the suggestion of the Ministry of Energy, from June 1, the government introduced a single tariff for electricity in the amount of 2 hryvnia 64 kopecks. per kilowatt hour.

The relevant information about the approval of the new electricity tariff by the Cabinet of Ministers of UNIAN was also confirmed by the People’s Deputy, member of the Committee on Energy and Utilities Oleksiy Kucherenko.

UNIAN also learned that the Ministry of Energy is preparing a briefing for journalists on this issue today, May 30.
