Russian invaders may be planning an attack on Khromovo – ISW
The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have made some progress in the area of Belogorovka, Luhansk region.

The Russian occupiers are probably planning to attack Khromovo in the Donetsk region. The invaders intensified artillery shelling in this direction.
Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War reported that on May 31, the Russians carried out limited ground attacks around Bakhmut. The Ukrainian General Staff announced the unsuccessful offensive operations of the Russians near Orekhovo-Vasilovka and Belaya Gora
In turn, one of the Russian military bloggers claimed that the occupiers were aiming to capture Khromovo in order to create conditions for future efforts to advance towards Kramatorsk. According to him, the invaders stepped up their artillery strikes in this direction.
In addition, he claimed that the fighting continues between Ivanovsky and Klishchievka, positional battles continue near Kleschievka itself. According to him, the forces of the regular army of the Russian Federation, volunteer formations and security forces of the so-called “DPR” occupy positions in Bakhmut, and the “Wagnerites” continue their constant assistance on the spot.
At the same time, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made some progress in the area of Belogorivka, Luhansk region.

Fighting does not stop in the region. The city of Bakhmut remained the hottest point for a long time.
On May 20, the leader of the PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin announced the capture of the city after almost 10 months of fierce fighting. Later, he announced the withdrawal of his mercenaries from the city and the transfer of control to regular Russian troops.
In turn, the representative of the eastern group of troops, Sergei Cherevaty, said that the Russian Federation was bringing air assault and motorized rifle troops to Bakhmut. At the same time, the invaders stopped the offensive for several days.
