The money tree is a Crassula succulent. It has more than two hundred species, but most often the oval crassula grows in the homes of Ukrainians. But over time, the owners of the money tree noticed what happens in houses where there is a money tree.

The money tree is often referred to as the “silent killer” and it’s not just a mystical name. The fact is that crassula is a poisonous plant. The leaves of the money tree contain arsenic – one of the strongest natural poisons.
If adults can still control their contacts with this plant, then for children and pets, such interaction can result in poisoning.
Money tree – influence on a person
There are the main symptoms of money tree poisoning. Among them vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, thirst, loss of consciousness, problems with coordination of movements, sharp pains in the abdomen. Self-medication in this case will not help. Rather see a doctor.
To avoid the negative impact of this plant, it is worth remembering where you can not keep a money tree. Crassula poisoning can be passive, when the poison affects the body in small doses. You may feel slightly dizzy or have a loss of appetite. Do not grow this plant indoors where you spend a lot of time.
The answer to the question of whether it is possible to keep a money tree in the bedroom or in the kitchen is obvious – no. In the bedroom, it will harm you gradually, and in the kitchen it can lead to acute poisoning.
If you cannot refuse this plant at home for some reason, follow the rules for caring for it:
- Firstly, it is better to take care of the money tree with gloves.
- Secondly, make sure that children and animals do not have access to the plant.
- Thirdly, in warm weather, the money tree feels great on a balcony or terrace. This further minimizes the risk of poisoning.
