Journalists doubted the officiality of the dealer: is there an official representative of the Toyota brand in Chernigov?

Are “gray schemes” of the car market thriving in Chernigov? Local LLC Solly-Plus.Chernigov, which has been operating since the beginning of 2023, presents itself as a dealer of Toyota. However, journalists never found evidence that this representative actually works officially for an international brand.

This was stated in the Cheline publication. Journalists’ interest in this dealer and its “officiality” was caused by a lot of negative reviews about the low level of professionalism of the employees.

“Unfortunately, our questions and complaints from customers about the low quality of Toyota’s service and services in Chernigov remain unanswered. But over the past 10 years in Chernigov and the region, one could only hear positive reviews about the quality of Toyota’s service and image,” – wrote in the publication.

Having examined the reasons for such changes, journalists came to the conclusion that there was a forced ousting of Toyota’s partner – a company that has been the official Toyota dealer in Chernigov since 2010 – LLC “AK “Siver-Avto”whose dealership is located at: Mira Avenue, 167.

Then a new company appeared in Chernigov – with the Kharkov owners of the holding “Solly-Plus“.

In addition, during the investigation it was possible to find out how AK Siver-Avto LLC was removed from the Chernigov market and deprived of its official dealer status.

“Also, these events had a great social resonance, since 70 employees of AK Siver-Avto LLC could lose their jobs. But despite all these factors, Toyota Ukraine FDI did not extend the validity of the dealer agreement and it expired on May 26, 2021. It should be noted that social guarantees for employees of AK Siver-Avto LLC were preserved, so all employees of the company remained continue to work in full force, for which we must thank the management of AK Siver-Avto LLC, since with the loss of the status of an official dealer, the financial condition of the company has deteriorated significantly,” – added in the source.
