Military expert Sergei Grabsky spoke about new successes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the left bank of the Dnieper and probable targets in this direction of the front.

“Ukrainian troops are trying to expand their deployment zone and active operations on the left bank of the Dnieper in order to create maximum difficulties for the enemy in the future. The enemy, following this very traditional scheme, is trying to hold all the territories that are now under his control and thus he is forced spread the troops, that is, distributing this density of force of means, which he clearly has, on a wider front,” he said on air.

According to him, Ukrainian troops do not concentrate on any one point, but create constant pressure on sectors of the front in order to disorient or reduce the density of Russian troops in the Zaporozhye direction.

“We can propose that in the event of successful development of offensive actions on the left bank of the Dnieper and the creation of a zone that Russian troops will not be able to liquidate, conditions may be created in the future under which the Ukrainian army can develop local offensive actions from this direction. The goal may be to maximize will approach Crimea, from which Russian troops operating in Northern Tavria are being supplied. Therefore, the approach of Ukrainian fire weapons to Crimea will seriously affect the ability to support the enemy group operating in the Northern Tavria direction and therefore this is a fairly serious threat,” Grabsky said.

He noted that Russia reacts nervously to attempts by the Ukrainian army to advance in this direction.

“It is unlikely that we can talk about any large-scale offensive operations at this time period. But having the opportunity to expand these bridgeheads, we cannot exclude the possibility that, if they are saturated with engineering equipment, the Ukrainian troops will not be able to conduct offensive operations in this direction. The goal is to cut a land corridor between the occupied Crimea and the territory of the Russian Federation, and it can be implemented both in the Kherson, Zaporozhye, and Ugledar directions,” the expert added.
